Dear Narragansett Middle & High School Community:

I am writing to inform you of a medical emergency that took place during the school day today at the Narragansett Middle & High Schools. A student was in need of medical attention and emergency personnel were called to assist.

During this time, all students and staff were asked to shelter in place so that emergency response could safely attend to the student. After a short time, students were able to resume their normal schedule.

I would like to sincerely thank the Templeton first responders for their swift and compassionate care. We are incredibly fortunate to have such skilled and dedicated emergency personnel who consistently provide outstanding support to our community.

Today we’re acknowledging our School Committee Student Representative, Amanda Iannacone, for her participation in Massachusetts Student Government Day, held at the State House! As part of the day, Amanda participated with elected student leaders from all around Massachusetts and worked in simulated joint committee hearings, and as part of house, senate, and supreme judicial court sessions. All government day activities are intended to foster the development of the next generation of civic leaders. You can see Amanda’s work on behalf of the high school and the district by attending or tuning into NRSD School Committee meetings. Thank you to Amanda for her ongoing leadership, and thank you to Amanda’s Government Day Advisors Ms. Mary Remillard and Mr. Eric Supple for making today's participation possible!

Happy Saturday Warrior Fans and Families, The NRSD SEPAC has cancelled the upcoming December 2, 2024 meeting with the following update. The next regularly scheduled meeting will be welcoming in the new year on January 6, 2025 at 6PM in the NRHS Kiva. Information for January's meeting will be posted soon!

ATTN Warriors (especially families of Juniors and Seniors) We wanted to reach out to remind you about Monday's Financial Aid Night that we will be hosting in the library at Narragansett Regional High School at 6:15pm. We encourage you to attend, especially if you are the parent/guardians of a college-bound senior. We were recently notified that the FAFSA is now open, so if you want to try to fill it out the best you can prior to the meeting and come with any questions you have before you officially submit, feel free!

Good Day Warrior Fans and Families, It is with great pride that we get to announce our newest Warrior to our team. Heidi Bevacqua, a resident of Templeton and an exceptional educator, has accepted our invitation to be our new Assistant Pupil Personnel Services Director. Heidi brings more than two decades of experience with students with disabilities in roles from residential care, special education teacher, and, most recently,building-level administrator. Her superpower is building relationships with students, staff, families, and the community. We are very excited for her to join us in our work.
