Principal’s Flyer #8: October 5, 2025
Dear Students & Families:
We hope you’ve enjoyed a very sunny and warm fall weekend. All we need is a Patriots win over the Bills to cap it off (let’s not hold our breath…or talk about the Red Sox). To start our memo this week we wanted to share this photo, which hopefully will make everyone smile (especially you historians out there). Taking up a challenge from Mr. Bell, these students dressed up in honor of Patrick Henry and for the latest US History Studies. Absolutely glorious!
Here’s the original Patrick Henry Before the House of Burgesses Painting…And HERE are 2025 Warriors in Patrick Henry’s Give Me Liberty…mode. Scholars are listed From Left to Right -
Lilith Parent, Annabella Tigs, Keegan O’Malley, Camden LaBonte, Lydia Draleau, and Liam Hunt
Someone please contact Lin-Manuel Miranda as we have some potential cast members for Hamilton 2.

Advanced Placement (AP) Credit Policy Search Tool |
Attention all students who are planning to take in the future, currently taking, or have taken an AP course. You may be eligible to earn college credit depending on your exam score and the policies of the college you plan to attend. Each college has its own requirements for which scores they will accept.
You can use the following website to look up the credit and placement policies for individual colleges: AP Credit Policy Search. We encourage you to check this resource so you understand how your hard work (our hard work of your students) in AP courses can benefit you after graduation!
Attention Families - Especially Families of Seniors and Seniors |
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) officially opened last week. Completing the FAFSA is an important step for any student planning to pursue education or training after high school, as it determines eligibility for federal, state, and institutional financial aid. Your senior should begin filling out the application on their own (possibly with your help) and then add a parent/guardian as a “contributor.” This will get the process started, and we are hearing that the new form is much easier to complete this year than in the past.
To support our families through this process, we are offering several resources:
Partnership with College Affordable – Families have access to expert guidance and support in navigating the financial aid process.
FAFSA Night – November 24
During parent/teacher conferences on Monday, November 24, we will host a FAFSA Informational Night for families. We highly recommend senior parents attend this if you are able. This session will review the FAFSA application, the different types of aid available, and how to interpret a Financial Aid Award package from a college. There will also be time for individual questions after the presentation. The workshop will be led by the Director of Financial Aid at Fitchburg State University, who also works with MEFA (Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority). HS Library - Time TBA (evening)FAFSA Fridays at MWCC – Mount Wachusett Community College is offering free, in-person FAFSA help sessions open to the public. Students do not need to be planning to attend MWCC to register for an appointment.
Thank you to our NRHS Counseling Team for these crucial updates!
