Principal’s Flyer #6: September 21, 2025
Dear Students & Families:
We hope you’ve enjoyed a glorious weekend and are ready for fall. Today we’re shouting out our athletics teams and reminding you that we are celebrating our TES students / little warriors at TES Elementary Stitch Night!
Check out our Montachusett Vocational Partnership (MVP) seniors, who kicked off their second and final year in the program last week! This year, students will continue developing their skills in either carpentry or electrical, and if they maintain strong grades and attendance, they’ll have the opportunity to head out on co-op during their second semester. By the end of the year, both groups will graduate with industry-recognized credentials in their respective trades—ready to take the next step, whether that’s furthering their education or stepping directly into the workforce. We’re excited to see all they accomplish this year!
Office Hours: Teachers Available Weekly for After School Help Sessions |
Students and families are reminded that all high school faculty hold office hours weekly for one hour. This time is reserved to help students looking for additional academic support. Over the years, our students have found these sessions helpful as they are often small instructional / help groups and focus on students’ immediate questions.
Teachers post and or share office hours directly with students.
If any student and/or family member has any difficulty locating office hours, just ask. A teacher, counselor or administrator will help you!
Students are reminded and encouraged to attend office hours with their current teachers. However, if you work well with a particular teacher, students are able to attend any teachers’ office hours / after school help sessions.
Bicycle, eBike & Scooter Safety on School Grounds |
Across our district, we’ve seen a growing number of students riding bicycles, e-bikes, and scooters to school. We are happy to see students opting for an active and healthy way to get to and from school. However, with increasing traffic during the school day and busy patterns on school property, we’ve also seen a rise in close calls and safety concerns involving bicycles, e-bikes, and scooters.
As part of our ongoing commitment to student safety, we would like to inform families of a few important bike and scooter safety expectations:
Walk Bicycles/E-Bikes/Scooters on School Grounds
Once students arrive on school property, they must walk their bicycles, e-bikes, and scooters. Riding is not permitted on school grounds (sidewalks, playgrounds, parking lots, or any other areas).Use Crosswalks Safely
Students are expected to use designated crosswalks when crossing streets and to walk their bicycles, e-bikes, or scooters across with them.We ask for your support in reviewing these expectations with your child. By working together, we can ensure a safe and respectful environment for everyone on or around our school campuses.
