Principal’s Flyer #5: September 14, 2025

Dear Students & Families:

We hope you’ve enjoyed the weekend, and are looking forward to a great week ahead. Today we’d like to underscore the work of an NRHS junior, Kelly Taylor, who is a highly engaged student and community leader.  Kelly has honored our victims and heroes in remembrance of 9/11.  Kelly's tribute is at the Boynton Library, and will be on display through the end of the month for anyone who would like to visit.

We’re now two weeks away from our first Friday Night Lights home game…and our theme this year is TES Elementary Stitch Night!  Additionally, our Cheer Program is holding a Youth Cheer Clinic to help prepare for the Elementary Night.  Consider attending the game, and support our Cheer Program and help your young athlete pick up some new skills at the cheer clinic!  We hope to see you!

Finally, if you missed our post on social media this week, this might make your day.  Check out the Class of 1965 celebrating their 60th reunion recently!  Amazing.  Congratulations again to our class of ‘65 on 60 years, and you can see below who’s who:

Keeping Kids Safe & Secure Online: A Project Safe Childhood Presentation for Parents

The United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts will be hosting a Webex Webinar Keeping Kids Safe and Secure Online:  A Project Safe Childhood Presentation for Parents.  The webinar will take place on the evening of Wednesday, October 22nd at 6:30 pm in a partnership between the United States Attorney’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations Digital Forensics/Child Exploitation/Cyber Crime Unit.  The registration flyer is attached. Advanced registration is required, and the capacity of the Webex webinar platform is 1000.  In the event we reach capacity, those who are unable to register can email USAMA.PSCOutreach@usa.doj.gov to be put on the list for the next webinar.

The webinar will bring awareness to the dangers children face online today and will educate parents/caregivers how to keep children safe online.  The webinar will not be recorded.  In the event someone is not able to attend on October 22nd, we hope to host several more throughout the school year.

Office Hours: Teachers Available Weekly for After School Help Sessions

Students and families are reminded that all high school faculty hold office hours weekly for one hour.  This time is reserved to help students looking for additional academic support.  Over the years, our students have found these sessions helpful as they are often small instructional / help groups and focus on students’ immediate questions.

  • Teachers post and or share office hours directly with students.

  • If any student and/or family member has any difficulty locating office hours, just ask.  A teacher, counselor or administrator will help you!

  • Students are reminded and encouraged to attend office hours with their current teachers.  However, if you work well with a particular teacher, students are able to attend any teachers’ office hours / after school help sessions.
