Principal’s Flyer #41: June 15, 2025

Principal’s Flyer #41: June 15, 2025

Dear Students & Families:

We hope you’re enjoying a wonderful weekend…and Happy Father’s Day out there to all my fellow Dads and father figures out there. You are appreciated!  This memo marks our final installment of the Principal’s Flyer for the 2024-2025 School Year, and the last weekly communication until August that will go out to all high school students and families.  You will note that as grade announcements and/or smaller communications are required, we’ll send them along to you promptly as needed, especially as the 25-26 school year approaches.   Thank you to all of our chaperones (and parent/nurse!) for helping conclude our year with the 2025 installment of the Washington, DC program.  DC is HOT, in the summer, and so we are additionally appreciative of all of the community members for [water] donations, and to our chaperones for keeping our students well-hydrated!  Here’s a photo of the group on a beautiful June evening in DC!

To close out this school year, we’d like to underscore some high school-related changes outlined in Superintendent Dr. Casavant’s most recent communication to the district, including parents and guardians.  Foremost, Ms. Landry will be taking the role of interim principal for the middle school next year.  We are excited for Ms. Landry to step into this role, and we are also pleased to announce that long-standing teacher, Ms. Erin O’Dea, will serve as the interim assistant principal for the high school next year.  In short, these two professionals are extremely well-situated to take on these roles effectively as we move toward the new school year.  These transitions will take place over this summer.

Additionally, please be advised of the updated building hours and student learning day that will be in place for the 2025-26 school year.  The high school school day will run from 7:30 AM - 2:05 PM each day, with the building opening at 7:15 AM for drop off.   Teachers will continue to hold office hours / extra help sessions that we will share at the beginning of the school year.  Please find, linked here, the District Calendar for 2025-26 School Year including schedules for full and half days.   Our first day of school for the 25-26 School Year will be August 27, 2025!
