Principal’s Flyer #40: June 9, 2025

Dear Students & Families:

We hope you’re enjoying a wonderful weekend with some hard-earned warmer temperatures.  We’ll keep this memo brief given how busy everyone is this time of year. AND, please be advised that this memo marks our penultimate / second-to-last memo for the 2024-25 School Year! At the writing of this memo, we are wishing our Varsity Girls softball team playing in the Elite Eight at Turners Falls with first-pitch also at 5:00 PM.  Good luck to our Softball Team…and bravo to our Middle School Boys and Girls baseball and softball teams on their undefeated 2024-2025 seasons!  Way to go Warriors!

This week we are shouting out Faith Moser and Ruby Towers Hughes for performing at the TAMY Awards last week and Mount Wachusett Community College.  Both Faith and Ruby performed in Grease as an ensemble!  Nice work also goes out today also to all of our Early College students who participated in Early College Step-Up Day.  As part of the program, Class of 2026 Early College students attended a helpful presentation from the MWCC Admissions team, where they learned more about the wide range of programs offered and how their Early College credits can transfer to colleges beyond MWCC as part of their preparation to take on expanded college coursework next year off-campus.

A reminder to all students and families that our last day of school will be Wednesday, June 18th, and it is a half day, with dismissal at 11:10 PM.  We’re almost there Warriors, but thanks in advance to all for keeping your foot on the gas right up until the last day of school.   We still have a great deal of learning to do!

Digital Citizenship & Online Safety: Resource for Families

A reminder that we’ve included highlights from our recent student assemblies on digital citizenship and online safety. Our guest speaker, Mr. Greg Kulowiec, engaged students in thoughtful discussions about making smart choices online, protecting their privacy, and being positive digital citizens.

To help continue these important conversations at home, we are sharing a follow-up video specifically for parents and guardians. The video provides an overview of what was covered with students and offers practical tips for supporting your child's healthy relationship with technology. You can access the video here.

We encourage you to watch the family video and discuss these topics with your child. Having ongoing conversations about digital citizenship helps reinforce responsible online behavior and keeps communication channels open.

If you have any questions about the presentation or would like additional resources, please do not hesitate to reach out.
