Principal’s Flyer #39: June 1, 2025
Dear Students & Families:
We hope you’re enjoying a wonderful weekend, with a special shout out to our senior families on their graduation weekend! Special thank you to our families, community, and staff who worked hard for many years to get our graduates across the stage on Friday night. To the Class of 2025 Warriors, we are extremely proud of you! Kudos to our graduation speakers: Co-Presidents Amanda Iannacone and James Cavaleri; 2nd Salutatorian Cassidy Paradis; 1st Salutatorian Madyson Hemlin; and Valedictorian Katherine Longmuir! Our Grads’ speeches touched on growth, unity, and in a theme of past, present, and future selves.
Shout out also to vocalists - Bee Currie and Rachel Worden - performing the class song “Unwritten”, and thank you to our Band for its rendition of not only Pomp and Circumstance, but also the Star Spangled Banner and an amazing adaption of “Gimme All Your Lovin’” accompanied by electric bass and guitars, headlined by Senior guitarist / Graduate Isaac Caruso. One of my favorite quotes from a family member on Friday was, “I didn’t know I was [also] getting a free concert tonight! As always, there are too many people to thank for the production: but we’d like to acknowledge our Phillipston and Templeton police and fire; Officer Steve Flis, Mr. Joe Faneuf, and Mr. Tom Salvadore for meticulous setup of excellent sound; NRSD staff; our School Committee and Select-Boards; Arts and Athletics Boosters; our Junior students for decorating; Junior Advisors Ms. Jamie Charrier and Ms. Jess McLaughlin; and of course, our 2025 Senior Class Advisors Ms. Michele Smith and Ms. Ann Lyons. We also specially thank our custodial staff, which was all hands on deck setting up our venue given winds and showers that made setup possible only with additional effort. Thank you custodial staff!
The parents and community that rally behind our students are on full display during graduation, but it is the plethora of events leading to this occasion and including graduation for which we give our sincere and heartfelt thank you. We know you have your own pictures, but here are just a few photos capturing 2025 Commencement. Thank you everyone and congratulations to our Class of 2025!

Digital Citizenship & Online Safety: Resource for Families |
We are pleased to share highlights from our recent student assemblies on digital citizenship and online safety. Our guest speaker, Mr. Greg Kulowiec, engaged students in thoughtful discussions about making smart choices online, protecting their privacy, and being positive digital citizens.
To help continue these important conversations at home, we are sharing a follow-up video specifically for parents and guardians. The video provides an overview of what was covered with students and offers practical tips for supporting your child's healthy relationship with technology. You can access the video here.
We encourage you to watch the family video and discuss these topics with your child. Having ongoing conversations about digital citizenship helps reinforce responsible online behavior and keeps communication channels open.
If you have any questions about the presentation or would like additional resources, please do not hesitate to reach out.
