Principal’s Flyer #28: March 9, 2025

Principal’s Flyer #28: March 9, 2025

Dear Students & Families:

If you’re reading this weekly update and missing that hour of sleep, we hope that the payoff of a longer evening and hopefully impending spring weather and sunshine boosts your spirits!  We’re flagging two important reminders to kick off our week: (1) as you may be aware, a new law passed in December 2024 that removes the MCAS as a graduation requirement. However, students are still required to sit for the exam.  As we’ve written previously, the state will still hold our school accountable and also uses MCAS to determine student scholarships and other opportunities, so we will be prepared to hold the exam and return to our regular class schedule as normal on MCAS days. Grade 10 students and families are advised that sophomores will take MCAS on March 25th and 26th; (2), and at long last, Little Mermaid Production (April 4, 5, & 6th) tickets are now available for purchase.  See additional information on the second page of this memo.
