In 1988, Lions Clubs International created the Peace Poster Contest as a way for young people to creatively express their visions of peace and allow them to share these visions with the world.
The Templeton & Phillipston Lions Clubs honored students who created excellent peace posters during this years’ Lions Club International Peace Poster Contest. Art supplies and gift card awards were given out during this week’s activity period. The following students were honored: Pictured from back are: Alex Cormier, Nate Mailloux, Tyler Berry, and Vayla Ogden, Front row: Trent Charron, Maxine Marshall, Sabine Heininger, Autumn Desmond and Violet Vaillancourt. Winners not pictured include Wesley Ellis, Makenna Swartz, Braycen Wilhite and Karlos De Paula.
The 5th Grade is proud to share that they have read a total of 1,837 books for the year in their quest for the 40 Book Challenge! Congratulations to our readers and keep up the great work! (Remember to do your summer reading--details in The Very Last Friday Memo from June 13! 😉)
