Memo heading

Memo headingNMS has a culture of continuous improvement--improvement in every aspect of teaching & learning and the student experience in order to support students being productive at their highest levels. We are in the business of student achievement and building a positive school culture--these are the only agendas at NMS that count!

Administrative Changes coming to NMS!

As was shared with faculty and staff in May and outlined in my email sent to all families on Friday, June 13, I have accepted a principalship in another district and will not be returning to NMS after this year. Ms. Janet Smith, NMS Assistant Principal, has taken a different role in the district and will also not be returning to NMS next year. Dr. Casavant will communicate the transition plans for the school soon.

Ms. Smith and I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the students, staff, and families during our time here, through what were some of the most challenging years the industry of education (and elsewhere) has ever seen with the pandemic. We will always be proud of the work we've done, and will greatly miss everyone associated with NMS.

We especially would like to thank all of those who have been so wonderful to work with for their support and incredible partnership. The NMS students are wonderful and the faculty and staff have made working here a true pleasure. They deserve limitless support.

Best of luck to all NMS students, staff, and families in the coming years!

--Mrs. Mary LaFreniere and Ms. Janet Smith

Be BIKE AWARE! 🚲

🪖Did you know it's state law that riders under 16 are required to wear a helmet?

The NRSD Student & Family Handbook also requires any students riding a bicycle to school to wear a helmet.

🚦 Did you know that there are laws governing the safe operation of a bicycles--including separate, additional laws for e-bikes--that all riders are required to follow?
