Mission of Narragansett Regional School District:
In partnership with the communities and parents, ensure that all our students are inspired to develop the knowledge, skills, behaviors, attitudes and values to become successful, responsible individuals and citizens in our ever-changing global society.
The Beliefs that we intend to guide our school district are:
- Student learning and achievement is a shared responsibility among students, teachers, school staff, parents and the communities.
- Every student has abilities and talents that are worthy of being recognized and developed.
- Students and staff have the right to a safe, respectful and challenging learning environment.
- Teachers do their best work with students when there is a productive relationship among students, teachers and parents.
- Community connections and involvement are important aspects of education for all students.
- There is a direct relationship between the communities' commitment to their schools and the level of education success.
- In order for our educational community to succeed there is a need for ongoing, two way communication with all stakeholders.
- Our educational leaders must commit to inform and educate the citizens about the benefits and returns on the investment they are making in our public schools.
- Our communities must expect and support excellence in education; be willing to invest the necessary resources; and require the responsible use of those resources.
NRSD Vision 2010
The Narragansett Regional School District enables all its students to leave the school system with a direction that allows them to realize their own potential and uniqueness, prepared for life-long learning, confident in their abilities and prepared to be productive citizens. Highly qualified and motivated educators are provided the necessary resources and support by the communities to ensure the required staff, programs, materials, equipment and facilities are available.
